General​

What is SugarMon: FL?​

SugarMon: FL is an Elgato Stream Deck plugin that displays glucose readings from the Freestyle Libre continuous glucose monitor using the LibreLinkUp sharing API.

Which Freestyle Libre devices are supported?​

SugarMon: FL works with any device supported by the LibreLinkUp app, including Freestyle Libre 2 and Freestyle Libre 3.

Which Stream Deck models are supported?​

  • SugarMon: FL works with all Stream Deck models that have standard keys.
  • SugarMon: FL Pro supports Stream Deck+ dials and touchscreen features in addition to standard keys.

Troubleshooting​

I entered my credentials but nothing is showing​

  1. Double-check that your email and password are correct
  2. Verify that the LibreLinkUp app on your phone is actively receiving data
  3. Click the 'Verify' button below the email and password fields in the plugin settings to test the connection. If you still see an error message, please contact the developer via email for assistance.

I see "RL" with a timer on the key​

This means the plugin has been rate-limited by the LibreLinkUp API. This is normal and will resolve automatically after the timer expires. The plugin will automatically resume polling after the timer expires. If it does not resume, you may press the key after the timer expires to manually poll for new data. This timer is not connected to your update interval setting - it is a separate timer intended as a "cooldown" period to prevent excessive requests to the LibreLinkUp service. Please be patient and wait for the timer to expire before trying to troubleshoot further. Often the rate limiting occurs due to rapidly changing settings in the plugin, which can cause multiple rapid requests to the LibreLinkUp service. To avoid this, limit the number of quick changes you make to the update interval or email/password fields in the plugin settings.

My glucose value looks delayed​

LibreLinkUp data can have a natural delay of a few minutes from your sensor reading. This is a limitation of the LibreLinkUp API, not the plugin. Additionally, the plugin will only poll for new data based on the update interval setting in the plugin. (default is 5 minutes)

The plugin stopped working​

Because this plugin relies on the LibreLinkUp service, any changes to that service by Abbott may affect the functionality of this plugin. The developer will do their best to maintain compatibility, but cannot guarantee it. This plugin may stop working at any time. Please be aware of this risk before installing the plugin, especially if you plan to purchase the Pro version.

Can I use both a key and a dial with the Pro edition?​

Yes! The Pro edition supports Keys, Dials, and Touch Strips. All instances share a single API connection to prevent rate limiting.
