Troubleshooting
I entered my credentials but nothing is showing
- Double-check that your email and password are correct
- Double-check that your selected region (US vs OUS) is correct
- Make sure your Dexcom account is active and sharing to a follower account that is receiving data
- Ensure that you are using your original Dexcom account credentials, not the follower account credentials. The plugin requires the original account credentials to access the Dexcom Share service. The follower account is necessary to set up, but the plugin does not use the follower account credentials directly.
- Click the 'Verify' button below the email, password, and region fields in the plugin settings to test the connection. If you still see an error message, please contact the developer via email for assistance.
I see "RL" with a timer on the key
This means the plugin has been rate-limited by the Dexcom Share API. This is normal and will resolve automatically after the timer expires. The plugin will automatically resume polling after the timer expires. If it does not resume, you may press the key after the timer expires to manually poll for new data. This timer is not connected to your regular 5 minute update interval - it is a separate timer intended as a "cooldown" period to prevent excessive requests to the Dexcom Share service. Please be patient and wait for the timer to expire before trying to troubleshoot further. Often the rate limiting occurs due to rapidly changing settings in the plugin, which can cause multiple rapid requests to the Dexcom Share service. To avoid this, limit the number of quick changes you make to the email/password fields in the plugin settings.
My glucose value looks delayed
Dexcom Share data can have a natural delay of a few minutes from your sensor reading. This is a limitation of the Dexcom Share API, not the plugin. Additionally, the plugin will only poll for new data approximately every 5 minutes. Please be patient and wait for the plugin to update the readings.
The plugin stopped working
Because this plugin relies on the Dexcom Share service, any changes to that service by Dexcom may affect the functionality of this plugin. The developer will do their best to maintain compatibility, but cannot guarantee it. This plugin may stop working at any time. Please be aware of this risk before installing the plugin, especially if you plan to purchase the Pro version.
If the plugin stops working for you for an extended period (1 day or more), please contact the developer via email for assistance.
Pro Edition
What are the differences between Free and Pro?
See the feature comparison table on the overview page.
Can I use both a key and a dial with the Pro edition?
Yes! The Pro edition supports Keys, Dials, and Touch Strips. All instances share a single API connection to prevent rate limiting.
